Facebook, as also new owner of Instagram has just announced that The foto sharing social media, Instagram will upgraded with a new feature. Facebook announced that Instagram now will able to take an posts video. So not only a photo/image sharing, it is also now become a video sharing as well. If there’s a question out there asked, why Facebook and Instagram add a feature to able taking and posting video too? my answer will be “to compete with Vine”. It is make sense, as
Vine rumored is the most popular video share on Twitter, Vine also rumored is the most share on Twitter, Vine beat Instagram on Twitter. We already know that Twitter delete their API for instagram. Not like before, when you can always see the image preview when someone post a photo/image through their Instagram account. Since Twitter delete Instagram API, Twitter only allowed twitpic for image preview.
Instagram can shot a video up to 15 second, and Vine, as we all know, its only 6 seconds. So is this mean Instagram is the winner? . nope, i don’t think so. Most people or users says they will stick with Vine. Some users says that this 6 second video can make you more creative in creating and posting videos.
The way Instagram to record the video is a bit tricky or a problem for some users, as you need to hold the records bottoms during recording a video. In Instagram there’s a pop up guide if you want to shoot a panoramic video. Its make lot easier. The best thing of shoot a video with instagram is, there are several editing tools available which also includes several filters. Vine don’t have any editing or filters tool yet, rumored it will be available on the next update.
Now this is the best thing of Vine video, it is looping, so its automatically play over and over as long as you don’t stop it. This feature could be an interesting thing if you want to share or embed it on social media, blog, or website. It will keep playing. Its a cool thing, especially when the video posted is something the viewer need to watch carefully, so they don’t need to push play button over and over.
Instagram videos can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, foursquare and email. But they can’t be easily inserted into other websites, such as a personal blog. Vine videos can be shared via Twitter and Facebook, and they can be embedded onto any website. Twitter and Facebook each supports its own video app, but not the other’s. So Vine videos don’t play directly on Facebook and Instagram videos don’t play directly in Twitter. Instead, users in each case have to click a link and go to another website. Users who swear off Facebook and spend more time on Twitter will probably choose to stick with Vine. Both mobile applications have a way to like and comment on videos.
Both apps available for Android and Apple/iOS. But Vine is a new comer for Android. Not like Instagram, both Android or Apple users already know it long ago. There’s so many things that Vine have to fixed. Vine is a little bit harder to find on social media as this app is a new app for some people. Instagram win in the number of users.
The conclusion is, both video sharing apps will be the winners. Both apps will have their own users, but new users can be turn into Vine users. Facebook users will getting well known with Instagram shortly.
It will depends on what apps will give their best and very useful feature to their users. Vine is a bit lucky as their video can easily embed on any social media or blog, Instagram users will have a problem with this.
